Community Design Workshop at Grace Lutheran Church

Our question to the public was "what does community mean to you?" and Ms. Taylor drew this picture.

Pastor Ron Welcomes Shylene. Mosaic the City is very excited about this new Community Unity happening in Fernwood.

Two young ladies from Vic High stopped in to the workshop. They drew some great designs about memories of their time at Central. They also drew wonderful images of Craigdarroch Castle

The New VI video taped our drop-in Workshop . It aired on the 5:30 and 11:00 news.

While the New VI was interviewing Ms. Beacham we were lucky to have another volunteer camera lady visit the project. Monique stayed for the whole workshop and got some wonderful shots of the community interactions. It will be cool to have a video of the completed project from beginning to end.

We had some parents come to participate in the design workshop. They worked with their kids to draw their ideas of community.
These moms also had some fresh ideas about fundraising
and how to continue the project in other community ways. Conversations
began about the planning of a Social for the project participants
to enjoy each other. Very fantastic ideas that I am sure we will
use. Thanks to the Moms.

We received some great ideas about this neighbourhood and how this community sees itself. The final design will be really impressive and a true representative of this community.

Thanks to the Grace Lutheran church for letting us have use of their facilities! We look forward to continuing the Community Unity with the Church and all their congregation.
