Feb 25th - Building is coming along...

Mr. Piercy and Ms. Beacham worked hard over time hours to create the most amazing looking school. It is so almost perfect. A very good likeness to the real building. What talent!!!

Alex was a folding maniac to make sure everyone could go home with lots of booklets, and tell the whole community about our last community workshop on the 3rd of March.

We had a new student join the project with a design addition. This is an image of a baby in fetal position to be hidden in the spring section of the mosaic. It is to represent the coming baby for the vice-principle and his family.

Everyone continues to work very hard to create just the right piece, to fit in just the right place. With all this creative energy, and hard work we will be done in no time. What a great team.

We were very pleased to see a PAC member the treasurer, Judy Campbell, and her son Ryan come out to join in the building of our mosaic. Michelle Micklejohn and her Mom came out on Student-lead conferences as well. Many hand make light work!

It was school spirit week and this day was twins day. We had two students dress as twins in the enrichment class, they looked great !!! So much fun working with this high spirited group of young people.

Today Mr. Friesen worked on widening the road and creating the Central Middle School Welcomes You - wording. It looks great too.

The whole project is looking amazing. The images are so full of purpose, with every single image representing something significant to someone on the project.

We also had the school paper come by and interview Ms. Beacham about the project. We can't wait to read the article all about this Community Unity at Central.
